Bumblebee
Bombus spp.

free assessment

Fat, fuzzy and important. Bumblebees rarely need removal — we'll tell you straight when they don't.

How to identify

  • 15–25mm, round and hairy with broad colour bands
  • Small colonies of 50–200, usually in compost heaps, sheds or old mouse holes
  • Active only one season — the colony dies off naturally in autumn

Risk level

Very low. Bumblebees almost never sting unless physically threatened.

Our treatment

Honest advice first. If a colony is in a genuinely unsafe spot, we relocate where possible; treatment is a last resort.
